Nice! You went on TV and sounded smart! How did Peter not steal that from you guys?
Peter doesn’t have time to trifle with local news fluffery. He’s more of a national network news kinda guy. And only if the topic is something important. Like the average household income of travelers who prefer seaweed facials.
There’s no question the Google ad was the best. In my opinion, it was the only one that didn’t seem like it was written for baboons hopped-up on steroids. Interestingly, it was also the only Superbowl ad that was not created by an ad agency. It was made by Google’s in-house guys to be published on YouTube. From CNN Money:
“We didn’t set out to do a Super Bowl ad, or even a TV ad for search,” Schmidt said. “We liked this video so much, and it’s had such a positive reaction on YouTube, that we decided to share it with a wider audience.”
